Trippy dreams, inspired mind

After a relaxing weekend at home I've come back to Leeds refreshed and excited.
Having gone over the 'city project' briefs again this morning I am starting to brainstorm ideas about how I'm going to approach this theme. My day off -Thursday should give me chance to do a decent amount of exploration within the city and hopefully spark some ideas and direction.

I emailed a tutor this afternoon about an event happening on Wednesday, D&AD talk with GBH designers. There was only a few tickets left and I've managed to secure one which I am very happy about.
Also for 'Light Night' (arts festival) happening on Friday I've secured a place on 'Her side of the City' audio tour, I'm not 100% what it involves but since as I'm interested in the artist Sophie Calle(French artist who followedstrangers/documented all kinds of detective work) my tutor told me she took part in organising this event, for a select number of people to follow an audio guide whilst participating in other LightNight activities. I'm guessing it gives suggests a number of things to do whilst exploring the city, quirky little projects etc ... I'll have to wait and see.

Besides work I have booked tickets to see Scroobious Pip on November 1st. His new album 'Distraction pieces' is deffinately worth a listen and if you havn't heard him perform before I suggest youtubing 'Rat race - Scroobious Pip' on youtube and pay close attention to his live performance, the man's a genius(and he has a pretty wicked beard).
Watching people like him and Kate Tempest perform makes me keen to get involved in open mic poetry again. As a starting point I should certainly start writing again.
