There are so many silly things that make this place home.
'Everyone knows lions and tigers can't live harmoniously in the same clock'
I think these are both McDonalds toys and they have coexisted for aslong as I can remember.
I love this clock - set to chime in the winter because it reminds me of being a child and having a bed-time.
We rarely set it to chime now, infact I think it has stopped working altogether.
'Up in the naps'
Its daft but I love the drying rack. This also came from the old house and reminds me of being really small when my dad used to throw me up towards the washing and catch me again.
My mum recently sold her drying rack at a carboot sale, the guy bargined us down to about £2 saying it was for his daughters first house.
'Lyods gay jar'
Recent edition to the kitchen, this jar is for grocery money so whoever is home can do the food shop.
He wrote 'Lyods gay jar' on himself and I stuck the bit of label back on, insisting that we have a picture of the smirky pervert himself.
Infact... I wish it was the one of him sniffing a pepper.
...I know his products too well.
Fridge calendars.
(And yes, the royal wedding is noted)
Dad's love of excel.
One for events one for meal planning.
Its either really organised, or extremely anal.
Either way I like them.
LD = lucky dip. Pick a bag from the freezer, a prevously cooked meal of some description. We named it lucky dip because in the past you wouldn't really know what you were getting. since I became vegi we've started labeling them (V) .
'Rachel helps to mix cement'
This is a painting I did in Nursery. It always makes me smile, partly because it looks like my dad has half a leg and also because I'm pretty sure no one else's piture of 'what I did at the weekend' had anything to do with cement.
Monet in the making...
